Farewell to Our Nauvoo!

For almost 3 1/2 years, we lived in the
Nauvoo Temple
district.  We were so blessed to visit every month,
in rain and snow and Midwest heat!

For our last visit we wanted to do something special, so we rented a room right across the street and spent time walking the streets and visiting the shops where pioneers lived and worked.
Quick pictures with the girls from our balcony.  Beautiful view!
Rachel (age 8), Sarah (age 9) and Emma (age 6)

I am so grateful to be in Nauvoo with my sweetheart, Richard.
I love you so much!  What a blessing to have shared this wonderful time and place with you!

It's fun to see how these girls have grown since we moved to the Midwest!

We had to do a family self-portrait in front of the temple!

We had to do a wagon ride for old time sake (may flies and all)!
Thank you for all the wonderful memories!

~I had to take the time for some pictures of this lovely place.~

Thank you to all the amazing missionaries who serve in the temple and teach in Nauvoo, IL.
We have loved sharing our time with you.
Thank you to the Pioneers who gave so much!
Thank you Joseph Smith and many others for your courage and sacrifice to Restore the Gospel of Jesus Christ for each of us.
And thank you most of all to our Savior Jesus Christ.  For your gospel, your love and sacrifice for me personally.  I am grateful every day for you.

 Nauvoo, City Beautiful
You are forever in our hearts!

Final trip to Nauvoo...

During our time in Iowa, we were so blessed to meet amazing people.
The Morgan family was Sealed for Time and All Eternity in the Nauvoo temple and we were so blessed to be there! We love you guys tons!

And a few more shots to remember the day!
THEN:
Our first trip down to Nauvoo (look at how tiny the girls look!)
AND...
NOW:

March 2012, we have all grow up and changed so much!

Richard took a few snapshots by the Joseph and Hyrum statues.
I love these girls!

Rachel and her hooded cape! It was such a windy day and she loved running around!

Hello Richard, my love.
Thank you so much for the fun adventure in Iowa!
So grateful for my Eternal Companion.

Nauvoo Pageant 2011

We are so blessed to live near Nauvoo, IL.
Having the Nauvoo temple as our temple is so amazing!
The girls have come to love and learn so much about Church History and the Restoration of the Gospel.
And in July, we get to go and watch the Nauvoo Pageant and play pioneer games and just be together!
This year the girls each got a pioneer bonnet and they wore it all day.

Cutie girls (tired little Emma) in the bonnets, that kept the sun off their faces!

One of the greatest things that happened this year was that one of my best friends, Amy, was there with her hubby (love ya nate!) and their Stake Youth Group!

Rachel sawing the log!

Go Emma!

Rachel and Sarah working so hard!

Sarah and Emma pulling one way...
AND

Rachel pulling the other way!

Then they decided to play on the same team and they all won!

One of the really fun things that Emma and Rachel did was dance in the Pioneer Dancing!

Emma and the actor who played Hyrum Smith

Rach dancing her little heart out!

Skippin' and skippin and skippin Emma!

Have a great time, huh, Rachel!

~We had to do the Handcart Pull!~

Sarah and Rachel pulling their little sis, Emma!

Now it's Mom's turn to pull the girls!
It's hard to imagine having to pull and walk across the country.
Wow, those pioneer men, women and children were so strong!!!

The girls enjoying the puppet show with their own puppets!

The Pageant:

Watching the actors testify of the gospel was beautiful!
The songs were amazing and the Spirit was so strong!

The Nauvoo Pageant is such an inspired program!
My testimony of the Restored Gospel of Christ and Joseph Smith is stronger each time I am in Nauvoo.
Our family will miss this area so much when we move.

The Gospel of Jesus Christ has blessed our family so much.
I am grateful to know that we can be together as a family, forever!
This life is not the end!

I love my family so much and want to be with them forever!
I am grateful to Jesus Christ for his Atonement for me!
