Catching up again!

Only a week into summer and I am already trying to play catch up!

Oh, well!

Below are 6 posts about what is going on with us! Check them all out! Lots of great pictures and fun family stories!!! Hope you enjoy!

Softball Madness at our house!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sarah and Rachel are both involved in softball this summer. 7 solid weeks of 2 games a week each! Somedays 2 games a night, sometimes 4 different nights a week! Wow! And Richard is coaching Sarah's class and that is crazy! It is finals week and he has 6 tests Monday through Thursday and he is coaching! Busy week for all of us!!!!!!!!!

Sarah trying her hand as pitcher! She did really well!

Great hit Sarah!

Rachel wants to hit it so bad! Look closely at that face!!!

Getting ready for the ball to come to her!

And what does Emma do during the games, you may ask? She is over playing on the playground! 3 hours of playing! Her dream day! She loves it!
Honestly, this is been insane and crazy and it will be a great rest when it is over, but we are so glad that we did softball! I think the girls are learning so much! And it's just nice to sit and enjoy the warm evenings together and catch fireflies on the way home!!!

Take Me Out to the Ball Game!!!!!

We have a minor league team in our city and they are really good!! We have been here over a year and a half and we finally got to a game last weekend! We went with our neighbors and had a BLAST!!!
It was a great game and so much fun! The girls LOVED to watch and play around! It was warm and humid (as you can tell by the pictures!), but so much fun to be there!!!

Rachel lovin' the game!

Sarah and Aviana ready to catch a foul ball!

Our whole fun group at the game! Check out that awesome bridge all lit up behind us!

Hanging out with my honey! Fun night at the ball park!

The family watching the fireworks at the end! What a fun night!!

Fun miscellaneous stuff....

This summer has been a mish-mash of happenings...
So here are some fun things we have been up to, in no particular order!

French braiding all the time!

It's great to have friends with awesome toys! Emma begs to drive it ALL THE TIME!!! I will have to blog about her Grand Theft Auto story sometime!

Each week this summer we are studying a different theme. Reading and math with that theme, art and science with that theme, etc... Last week was weather and we had some CRAZY weather! And this week, our theme is food and cooking! Here is our cooking from Sunday:

Making camping tin foil dinners and talking about different ways to cook dinner!

Hey from the Walmart parking lot! Where else would we be?!?!?!?
And, as you have seen from the past few posts, bread making is going on a ton at our house! A great friend taught me how to make bread in a hour and it has changed my life!!!!!!!! I am a little home-makery all of the sudden!!!

Here's the first attempt! NICE!!!!!!!!!

Then my first wheat bread attempt! BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!!!!
But then this weeks bread didn't get enough water, so it was a little dry. Oh well, we will try again this weekend!!!
That's our miscellaneous stuff going on!

Sarah and Emma's dates

Because of a bout of sickness at our house, Sarah's date was a little different. With her sisters sleeping upstairs, we told Sarah she could pick any lunch and we would make it together. So we cranked up the music and make chili dogs!!! I think she had fun, even though we were stuck at home! More fun dates to come, I promise, little Sarah!

The next week, Emma chose to go to the library with us for her date. She picked whatever books she wanted and we read stories and played games and spent time together.

On Daddy's shoulders on the way in!!!

Playing horsie with the provided horsey! Thanks for the ride, Daddy!

Laying down on the horsey together! We sure love ya, little Emma!

A few more Emma birthday pictures!

I had to get one picture of the Strawberry Heaven I made for Emma's birthday! Sweet big girl! We sure love her!

I baked like a BANSHEE for Emma's birthday!!! She wanted a pink cake with pink frosting so I made that. Then I thought, what if someone doesn't want the Strawberry Heaven I was making, so I made some brownies, too. Then since the oven was on, I made two loaves of white bread too. Since I was already in the kitchen, why not??!?!

End of school days!!!

It's hard to believe, but school is out!!!! We did a few things at the end of the year and here are a couple of pictures!

At the girl's school, the Kindergarteners got to have a big pizza party and Rachel LOVED it! She looked forward to it for weeks in advance! She loves pizza and would eat it every day if she could!

For their special End-of-the-Year, the second graders got to walk to a park and have lunch with their families and play! It was so much fun!

Sarah and some of her girlfriends!

Fun family lunch! What a big girl, you are Sarah!!!

Last day of school! With our neighbor Aviana! A great start to the summer!

Richard here, so you get pictures. Not too many words. Sorry. The new Emma and the Ducky meet. History is made.

The elf stage - about 1 year old.The aftermath of the incident. 2 years old

Hi. Emma's 3.
With attitude.

Welcome to 4, Emma. You're awesome. But stubborn. Kinda like your Mama. Or is it Daddy? Don't know, don't care. Life is good.
