Feliz Cumpleanos to me!

 Happy Birthday to me!
Honestly, being 34 years old is great!
One year older and wiser, too!
Instead of a cake this year I wanted a fruit tart and it was truly
FABULOUS!!!!
It reminded me of my time in Paris.
(sigh)

It was great to get out with The Ladies!
(including an amazing apple pie)

Thanks for a fabulous day!
Love you all!

 THE DRINKING OF THE ROOTBEER!!!
Rachel and Sarah each drank the very end of a pitcher of rootbeer.

Happy 8th Birthday to our Rachel!!!

We are so blessed to have Rachel in our family!
She turned 8 years old today and we were so excited to celebrate with her.
Yesterday she had her birthday party and she chose...

KUNG FU PANDA!!!

Rachel begging and begged to put up the decorations early, but we had to wait until the morning of the party. We put up lanterns and balloons and chinese parasols all over the house.

Rachel said that it actually looked like a real chinese kitchen! hahaha! Love that girl!

To start the party, we practiced eating with chopsticks!
I was pretty impressed with how well the kids learned to hold them and pick up marshmallows

We also had fun chinese music playing and tons of origami crafts through out the party.

Oh, here is the invitation to the party. A BIG felt fortune cookie with the invitation inside. So FUN!

On to the lunch...

Eating DUMPLINGS!!!

Check out those noodles, Rachel!!!

It was so much fun to watch everyone try something new!

An awesome pop-up card from Jordan!

Great friends- Rachel & Jordan! It's such a blessing to have such a great friend!

Richard took this quick picture of the cupcakes and the counter!
This is a great snapshot of the behind the scenes of the day!

What a fun party!

Our big girl Rachel, getting ready for church today with Richard!

What a wonderful birthday, complete with a new dress and a candle in her pancakes today!

We love you so much, Rachel, and are so happy every day that you are in our family!!!

And some more Birthdays...

To continue with the birthday season at our house, Richard and I both celebrated our 33rd birthdays in September!

For birthday, my biff decorated my car for me and brought me my favorite lunch, too! I loved it! I drove around town for a week with it decorated like that. After a few days, I couldn't figure out why people kept honking at me and then I would remember that it was still decorated saying "Honk, it's my birthday!". Love it! hahaha!

I didn't want a whole big cake for my birthday, so I asked Richard to find some Designer Cupcakes and he did. They were AMAZING! Pink Lemonade, Candy Bar, different kinds of chocolate, etc... It was perfect for my birthday!

Here I am!
I think 33 looks great on me!!!!!!!!!!

And Richard's birthday... The girls helped me pick some Angry Birds wall stickers and they were a hit!

Then, I had to put a picture and a video of this.... (we have had problems with videos, if you are struggling to see the video, it worked really well on Google Chrome. Try to figure out so you can see it. IT IS WORTH IT!!!)
Richard's mom sent us super special candles for our birthdays. We forgot to do mine on my birthday, but we got Richard's out for his.

It looks like a closed tulip. On the box it said, "Large Flame" and "Use lighting stick to light candle".

We were thinking..... um right.... sure....

THEN... WE LIT IT.........

Hope you enjoyed the movie!
Happy Birthday to us!

Happy Birthday to our Sarah

Last week was Sarah's 9th birthday and it was a great one!!!!!
It seems like it was just yesterday that she was being baptized.
Time flies so fast!
Here are just a few highlights!

Sarah in her new birthday outfit, ready for a wonderful day at school!!!

BOOKS! Nothing better out there! (don't you love Emma's face?)

Silly tiny cupcakes with 9 candles on them.

For Sarah's birthday party, she wanted to do a Stay-Late (since we don't do sleepovers) Space-y Birthday party. She wanted to wear jammies, look at the stars with Richard's telescope, watch "The Cat from Outer Space", eat pizza, and play with hula hoops! What a blast!!

Sparkly Saturn invites!

Let the games begin...

Who can hula hoop the longest?!?!?!?

GO RACHEL, GO!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sarah running and hula hooping down the hill. Totally crazy game!

Sarah rockin' the hula hoop!!!

Gotta have some treats! Pizza, chips, mini sodas and a candy bar!

The new "Phineas and Ferb Movie"!
Best gift EVER!

Then we headed outside to look at the stars and the rings of Saturn. AMAZING!

Good thing the girls had glow bracelets because it was SO DARK!
They were playing night games and running all over and we just kept seeing streaks of light fly by!

So , my Sarah...
We love you so much!
We are so proud of the girl you are growing into!
You are smart and funny and sweet and beautiful and kind.
You are an amazing daughter and a wonderful friend!

Sarah and her new beautiful locket she got from Dad & Mom for her birthday. She wanted one to put a picture of her family in it. LOVE IT!!!
